Do I need to change how we collect samples?
No. Saliva collection takes under two minutes chairside with our kit.
Can we try it alongside our current lab?
Yes. Request kits, run some patients through both, and compare the reports.
When are we billed?
When a sample is registered and submitted. Never for kits.
How fast are results?
Two business days from when the sample reaches our lab.
Who runs the testing?
Our own laboratory in Norman, Oklahoma. It is CLIA-certified and COLA-accredited for high-complexity testing, and runs validated qPCR.
Do you accept specimens from New York?
Yes, for the Comprehensive and Essentials panels. Both are approved by the New York State Department of Health's Clinical Laboratory Evaluation Program for New York specimens. The Oral Balance Test and the PerioCaries Report are not yet available for New York.
Does this replace a periodontal exam?
No. Results are adjunctive. They support your clinical exam and judgment; they don't replace either.
